Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for estates, trusts, and related individuals (Forms 1041, 706, 709, etc.).
Work with clients and legal professionals to ensure proper estate and trust tax compliance.
Assist in the administration of estates, including calculating income, estate tax liabilities, and distribution requirements.
Advise clients on tax-efficient estate planning strategies.
Conduct detailed analysis and provide recommendations regarding complex tax issues related to estates and trusts.
Stay current with relevant tax laws, regulations, and best practices in estate and trust taxation.
Prepare financial statements and fiduciary accounting reports for estates and trusts.
Assist in audit responses and resolution of tax disputes for estates and trusts.
Collaborate with other departments to support client needs and ensure a comprehensive service approach.
Participate in client meetings to discuss tax strategies, planning, and compliance.
Supervise Associates and Interns on engagements.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (CPA or EA designation preferred).
Minimum of 3-8 years of experience in tax preparation with a focus on estates, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.
Ability to make appropriate decisions regarding accounting and tax compliance matters
Ability to perform and direct the broadest range of accounting tasks so that the direct participation of supervisors, managers or partners is kept to a minimum
Legally permitted to be employed in the United States without requiring a visa or sponsorship.
