Your Role:
As a Tax Accountant, you will:
Prepare and file, federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Work on several different types of complex returns across a diverse group of clients, in various industries.
Understand and research complex tax concepts and their application to client situations; review with manager and communicate results with clients.
Conduct tax planning engagements, helping to reduce tax liabilities and stay compliant with tax laws.
Oversee the preparation and submission of sales tax filings and ensure accurate and timely processing of year-end 1099 forms.
Manage QuickBooks Online client accounts and assist with onboarding new clients in setting up, optimizing, and troubleshooting their financial transactions.
Review monthly and quarterly books prepared by junior staff members, prepare financial statements, and ensure all financial transactions are accurate.
Collaborate with other accountants and team members to provide exceptional service to our clients.
Mentor junior accountants and bookkeepers on key projects and deliverables.
Provide timely and accurate responses to client inquiries and build strong relationships through clear communication.

What We’re Looking For:
CPA or EA Certification (Required): Must be an active CPA or Enrolled Agent.
QuickBooks Online Proficiency (Required): Hands-on experience with cloud-based QuickBooks Online is a must.
Microsoft Excel Expertise (Required): Ability to use advanced Excel functions for financial modeling, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Business & Individual Tax Processing Experience (Required): At least 3+ years of experience managing business tax returns and tax compliance.
Attention to Detail: A strong focus on accuracy and precision in all accounting work.
Strong Organizational Skills: Able to handle multiple projects and maintain order in fast-paced environments.
Client-Centric: Excellent communication skills and a passion for providing top-notch service to clients.
Problem Solver: Ability to troubleshoot accounting and tax issues quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3+ years of recent public accounting experience, specializing in tax preparation, financial statement analysis, and reporting.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills for developing effective tax planning strategies.
Proficient in computer systems, accounting software, and data management tools.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
