WebCE is seeking a strategic and innovative Director of Product and Market Development over our Professional Services team to lead growth across the Tax and Accounting and Real Estate product lines. This role focuses on defining product needs and requirements through market analysis, customer insight, and regulatory awareness. The Director will lead a senior team of Content and Curriculum Development Directors and build strong industry partnerships, including association affiliations, to ensure products are competitive, differentiated, and drive revenue and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
On a daily basis, you will focus on driving revenue growth and expanding market share by analyzing sales performance, interpreting market signals, and identifying strategic opportunities. You will assess where WebCE fits within the competitive landscape, uncover reasons for missed opportunities, and develop actionable plans to address gaps. A key part of your role will be coordinating cross-functional efforts to capture the voice of the customer—ensuring feedback is systematically gathered, analyzed, and translated into strategic direction. Our Content and Curriculum Development Directors report to this role. Your focus will be on aligning their output with broader market and revenue goals. You will also lead efforts to define product-market fit, guide go-to-market strategies, and support the development of offerings that resonate with target audiences and meet evolving industry demands.
- Leads and manages a senior team of Curriculum and Content Development Directors, setting strategic direction and fostering a results-driven culture.
- Monitors product and team performance using key metrics
- Implements data-driven strategies to improve growth and profitability across B2B and B2C markets.
- Conducts market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and product/service gaps that inform development strategies.
- Identify and pursue partnerships with key industry providers, associations, and influencers.
- Partners with Sales and Marketing to define and execute product strategies—including market positioning, pricing, packaging, and strategic partnerships—that drive growth, innovation, and customer engagement.
- Drives content strategies that align with market demands, regulatory standards, and revenue goals.
- Identifies opportunities to expand or repurpose assets into new markets or unique offerings.
- Stays current on industry regulations and compliance standards to ensure products meet legal and best practice requirements.
- Analyzes financials, customer behavior, and market data to guide strategic decisions and maintain competitive positioning.
- Manages strategic vendor relationships and represent the company in industry associations and events.
- Creates and delivers professional presentations to internal and external stakeholders, articulating product vision, strategy, and performance.
